Use block variable instead of global
```ruby
require 'benchmark/ips'
Benchmark.ips do |x|
x.report("$&") {
"foo".sub(/f/) { $&.upcase }
}
x.report("block var") {
"foo".sub(/f/) {|match| match.upcase }
}
end
```

It's faster, and gets rid of a few "magic" global variables
