sync level on the underlying file handle like this:

ActiveSupport::BufferedLogger.new f
Or tune your filesystem. The FS cache is now what controls flushing.
* ActiveSupport::BufferedLogger#flush is deprecated. Set sync on your
filehandle, or tune your filesystem.
